Reflections on TOL Summer Club: Support, and Belonging at TOL
Today, we’re shining a light on one of our Young Achievers as he shares, in his own words, what Touch of Love means to him.

In a short but powerful video, this young person reflects on two things that made a real difference in his life:

The TOL Summer Event - A Place for Young People to Create and Connect
This summer, we had the joy of partnering with Avenue Scotland, through the support of CashBack for Communities, to run a brilliant summer programme for two age groups – 10 – 15 and 16+ , packed with creativity, fun, and learning. For many young people, it wasn’t just a holiday activity - it was a chance to try something new, meet new friends, and let their talents shine.

In his reflection, he shares how the event gave every young person the chance to give it a shot. Whether it was art, games, teamwork, or just having fun, everyone had a moment to show what they could do.

“It helped us bring out our creativity. No pressure, just fun. I think everyone should give it a try.”

His words remind us that with the right support and opportunities, young people can discover strengths they didn’t know they had.

TOL – There is Always An Activity for Everyone

The second part of his reflection speaks about what Touch of Love has become for him: more than a club or a place to go after school - it's a space where young people feel seen, accepted, and supported.

“TOL is a place for everyone.”

This simple line carries so much meaning. At Touch of Love, we work hard to make sure that every young person feels safe, welcome, and included, no matter their story or background.
